Greenburgh Hebrew Center to hold Shabbat Hagadol Dinner Friday April 15, 2016

Now that Purim is over, the Greenburgh Hebrew Center is now preparing for Passover! This year our annual Shabbat Hagadol dinner takes place on Friday, April 15. New, Expanded Scheduling Options at GHC Early Childhood Center Provide Enriched Programming for 3 and 4 Year Olds 8 AM to 3 PM

Feeding Our Neighbors – GHC USY Conducts Food Collection at GHC

Help us feed the hungry! This is UJA-Federation of New York's 11th Annual Food Drive and the food drive is being coordinated at GHC by our Youth Group. The food will be distributed to food pantries and soup kitchens in Westchester and the Bronx.

Installation of Rabbi Jay M. Stein, Saturday November 14, 2015

The installation of Rabbi Jay M. Stein as Rabbi of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center will take place on Saturday, November 14 at 6 pm. The community is invited to share in this occasion. The evening begins at 6 pm with Havdalah led by GHC's Cantor Janet Leuchter. The installation will begin promptly at 6:15 pm with Rabbi Aaron Bisno (Senior Rabbi of Rodef Shalom Congregation, Pittsburgh, PA) introducing Rabbi Stein.  Rabbi David Hoffman (assistant professor in the Department of Talmud and Rabbinics at the Jewish Theological Seminary) will address the congregation with  "The Meaning of Faith for Modern Jews". Rabbi Barry Kenter (Rabbi Emeritus of Greenburgh Hebrew Center) will close the ceremony. There will be supervised activities (including a musical performance) and a light dinner for children from 6:15 -7:15 pm.
