Jennifer Ricki Pavane, a daughter of Susan L. Pavane and Howard W. Pavane of New Hyde Park, N.Y., is to be married Sunday to Doron Peretz Kenter, a son of Judith D. Kenter and Rabbi Barry A. Kenter of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. The bridegroom's father is to perform the ceremony at the Shelter Rock Jewish Center in Roslyn, N.Y., with Rabbi Eytan N. Kenter, the bridegroom's brother, taking part.
The couple met at the University of Pennsylvania, from which the bride graduated magna cum laude and the bridegroom received a law degree, cum laude.
Mrs. Kenter, 26, received a law degree from Yale. In September she is to become a litigation associate in the New York office of Cooley Godward Kronish, a law firm in Palo Alto, Calif.
The bride's father retired as an assistant patent examiner at the New York Law firm Cohen Pontani Lieberman & Pavane. Her mother is a curriculum facilitator at Public School 7, an elementary school in Brooklyn.
Mr. Kenter, 27, is an associate specializing in business finance and restructuring at the New York law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges. He has two bachelor's degrees, one magna cum laude in history from Columbia and another magna cum laude in Talmud and Rabbinics from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.
The bridegroom's mother serves on the national board of directors of the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, which has its headquarters is in New York. His father is the rabbi of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center, a synagogue in Dobbs Ferry.
