SUKKOT AT GREENBURGH HEBREW CENTER
Sukkot, known as the Jewish Thanksgiving or the Festival of Booths, is a joyous time at the Greenburgh Hebrew Center. GHC has a beautiful Sukkah and all are invited to partake in our festivities in the Sukkah.
The holiday begins sundown, Wednesday, September 22. Family Festival Services begin at 9:30 am Thursday September 23 and Friday September 24. During both services, we march with 2 of the holiday symbols, the lulav and etrog, and all attendees will have the opportunity to partake of this ritual. After services, we will have a light lunch in the Sukkah.
Pizza in the Hut, sponsored by the GHC Young Family Group, takes place on Sunday, September 26 from 4 pm - 6 pm. Families with young children are invited to gather in the GHC Sukkah for a light dinner, games, music, singing and fun! Jake Okun will be playing his guitar and all are welcome to join in. Cost is $20 per family and rsvps are preferred.
Please call the synagogue office at 914-693-4260 for more information.
The Greenburgh Hebrew Center is a conservative synagogue and has daily services that are spirited, egalitarian and participatory. The membership is a friendly and welcoming community.
