Purim Family Activities & Carnival at Greenburgh Hebrew Center Sunday, March 4, 10:00 am – 1:30 pmPublished: Friday, February 23, 2018 By: Robin Rosenberg
One of the most enjoyable Jewish holidays for everyone is Purim. The Greenburgh Hebrew Center celebrates the festival of Purim with an outrageous carnival and activities for children and adults on Sunday, March 4.
On Sunday, March 4, Purim festivities begin at 10:00 am with activities for families with young children – Purim songs, a megillah story and costume parade. At 10:30 am the Purim Carnival kicks off. The carnival features game booths and events for all ages such as Shushan Shuffle, Basketball/Football Toss and Sponge Throw; Preschool games; Super Slide; Sports Bounce House; Crafts; Food Court; Costume Contest; prizes and more!!! Everybody is encouraged to dress up in costume.
“Joshy K” will perform magic for children and adults beginning at 12:00 pm. Joshy K is a professional, award-winning magician, with 21 years of experience (and he is only 26!). He has taught at French Woods and is a favorite among the kids. His shows have both children and adults laugh and gasp. This show will end with one child “defying gravity!”
All are welcome! Only cash and checks are accepted for ticket and food purchases. Free on-site parking is available.
The Greenburgh Hebrew Center is a fully egalitarian Conservative synagogue serving the Rivertowns and adjacent communities. The synagogue welcomes traditional, interfaith, and blended families, singles and LGBTQ participants, and has daily services that are spirited and participatory.
