One of the most enjoyable holidays for everyone is Purim, which celebrates the time when the Jews living in Persia were saved from an evil plot to exterminate them. The Greenburgh Hebrew Center celebrates the joyous holiday of Purim with an outrageous carnival and activities for children and their families.
On Sunday, March 1 Purim festivities begin at 10:00 am with activities for families with young children – Purim songs, a megillah story and a costume parade. At 10:30 am the Purim Carnival kicks off. The carnival features game booths for all ages such as Shushan Shuffle, Basketball Toss and a hamantaschen eating contest; Preschool games; Super Slide; Sports Bounce House; Crafts; Shushan Food Court; Costume Contest; prizes and more!!! Everybody is encouraged to dress up in costume.
David Rosenstein will perform magic for children and adults at 11:30 am. David is an accomplished magician and has performed for thousands of kids. He uses humor and charm to make every child “feel like a magician!” His shows are high energy, fast paced and super fun.
All are welcome!!! Only cash and checks are accepted for ticket and food purchases. Free on-site parking is available.
