Chavie Weisberger grew up in a tight-knit Hasidic community. She was set up to be married at age 18, divorced at 25, and then came out as queer at 30. She then spent 5 years fighting for, and ultimately winning custody of her 3 children and finding her footing in secular society. Chavie now serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Footsteps where she supports others on the journey to find their truth.
