A conversation with Amit Grinfeld, IDF Major and Israel Tour Guide
The year 2017 marks 50 years since the Six-Day War between Israel and the neighboring states of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Come learn about the course of events that led to the war, hear about the decisive battles, and the crucial aftermath. Grinfeld explores how the events of those fateful days in June affected the state of Israel all the way up until today, and what the future holds in light of these events.
Amit Grinfeld is a licensed tour guide in Israel with over 10 years of guiding experience. He holds a degree in history and international relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a graduate degree in public policy from Tel Aviv University.
Amit has guided hundreds of touring groups such as school trips, youth groups, Birthright Israel, family tours, Christian pilgrims, VIP visitors in Israel, and donors to JNF. Aside from private groups, Amit has also guided official guests of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, military and police units, renowned journalists and many more. He is married, has 2 children and serves in the IDF (reserves) as a Major in the Homefront Command.
