Kadima / Junior Kadima

Junior Kadima is a social program for current 4th and 5th graders that offers movie nights, fun and game nights, make your own ice-cream sundae's, and general fun get-togethers at GHC. Several social gatherings occur throughout the year, that offer exciting and fun ways to interact with your peers. Events are usually held on Sundays, early evening.

Kadima offers social gatherings for 6th, 7th and 8th graders; events include game nights, movie nights with ice-cream sundaes and popcorn, pizza nights and a variety of activities where our middle school youngsters enjoy each others' company in a relaxed and fun environment. Kadima events are usually held on Sunday evenings. Involvement in Kadima is also available on a Regional and International level through the many programs offered by United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. These include Shabbatonim, dances, summer encampment and a variety of programs with other Kadima Chapters in the New York Metropolitan area. Kadima is a great way to prepare for USY, the international youth organization for Jewish teenagers, grades 9 - 12.

USYOur division is Koach and it includes Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, and Riverdale. There are events on the chapter level, divisional level, regional level, and even the International level (part of Canada is included is USY). A chapter is a synagogue affiliated with USY. Our chapter is Greenburgh Hebrew Center (GHC).
