She was the co-writer of an Early Childhood Grant (REA) and co-authored The New & Seasoned Teacher Handbook for her district.
Ms. Smith’s fondest memories are from the times she spends with her extended family in Israel since she was fifteen years old. Her parents both escaped the Holocaust and her only surviving extended family still resides there. Gloria still maintains in close contact with them, as do her adult children as it is their strong Jewish identity and ancestry that impacts her daily living. She refers to it as her “Israeli Connection.”
Her greatest gifts are her wonderful family which consists of her husband, three sons, daughter-in-law and most precious pre-school aged granddaughter.
Her best times at GHC ECC are spent when she is out of her office and inside the classrooms working alongside the teachers and children.
