CO2 Offset is based on how much carbon is produced for each kWh of brown energy (energy produced from polluting sources)...and what the PV now replaces...
 
Tons of CO2 Saved:  Each kWh = approximately 1 lb of carbon into the atmosphere.  So, e.g., if the solar panels produce 1500 kWh in a month, that would be 1500 lbs of carbon emission reductions from having solar panels, instead of buying that amount of electricity from Con Edison

SREC: Each megawatt-hour (MWh)of electricity that was generated from an eligible renewable energy.
