Installation of Rabbi Jay M. Stein, Saturday November 14, 2015

The installation of Rabbi Jay M. Stein as Rabbi of the Greenburgh Hebrew Center will take place on Saturday, November 14 at 6 pm. The community is invited to share in this occasion. The evening begins at 6 pm with Havdalah led by GHC's Cantor Janet Leuchter. The installation will begin promptly at 6:15 pm with Rabbi Aaron Bisno (Senior Rabbi of Rodef Shalom Congregation, Pittsburgh, PA) introducing Rabbi Stein.  Rabbi David Hoffman (assistant professor in the Department of Talmud and Rabbinics at the Jewish Theological Seminary) will address the congregation with  "The Meaning of Faith for Modern Jews". Rabbi Barry Kenter (Rabbi Emeritus of Greenburgh Hebrew Center) will close the ceremony. There will be supervised activities (including a musical performance) and a light dinner for children from 6:15 -7:15 pm. At 7:15 pm all will gather for a reception celebrating the installation of Rabbi Stein. View Event Page
